AP CM Chandrababu and Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav met with the Chairman of the 16th Finance Commission, Arvind Panagariya, to discuss the state’s fund allocation. They explained the financial challenges faced by Andhra Pradesh and urged the Commission for generous funding, referring to a NITI Aayog report that highlighted the impact of the previous government’s financial mismanagement.

During the meeting, CM Chandrababu and Finance Minister Payyavula explained the current economic situation of Andhra Pradesh to the Chairman. The CM urged the Finance Commission to be generous in the fund allocation, considering the state's financial challenges.
Chandrababu also referenced a report by NITI Aayog during the meeting, which highlighted how the previous government’s financial management had severely impacted the state’s economic condition. Along with the CM and Finance Minister, senior officials from the AP Finance Department were also present in the meeting with Arvind Panagariya.
