For the first time in the country... the Prime Minister's security is handled by women only.
On International Women's Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security for the Women’s Day celebrations in Gujarat will be managed entirely by female police officers. This marks the first time in India’s history that women will be in charge of the Prime Minister’s security during an event.

New Delhi: Tomorrow is International Women's Day. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Women’s Day celebrations in Navsari district, Gujarat. What makes this event special is that the security for the event will be provided exclusively by female police officers. Gujarat Minister Harsh Sanghvi revealed that the security arrangements for Prime Minister Modi’s participation will be handled solely by female police personnel. From the helipad to the stage, all the security arrangements for the Prime Minister will be managed by women police officers. This is the first time in the country’s history that only female police officers will be responsible for the Prime Minister's security during such an event.

For the First Time in the Country, the Prime Minister's Security Will Be Handled by Women
The Minister further mentioned that over 2,300 women police officers, ranging from IPS officers to constables, will be responsible for the security arrangements for this event. Among them, more than 2,100 will be constables, 187 will be Sub-Inspectors, 61 will be Police Inspectors, 16 will be DSPs, 5 will be SPs, and there will be one IG and one Additional DGP. Senior woman IPS officer and Home Department Secretary Nipunaa Thoravane will oversee the security arrangements. The Minister emphasized that this initiative sends a positive message to the world on Women's Day and demonstrates the crucial role women are playing in making Gujarat a safer and more secure state.
